Community Club Leaders Message:
you all for accommodating our last minute meeting date change this month! It
looks like the traffic will be back to normal for the rest of our meetings.
had our first official Jamul Chaparros event with our petting zoo at the Fall
Festival! Thank you to those members who came out to support us. We had lots of
kids visiting the animals and a number of parents asking us about 4-H.
weekend was our first county fundraiser at Bates Nut Farm. We sold caramel and
candied apples as well as Julian pies on behalf of the San Diego County 4-H.
We will also be earning a percentage of the profits! A great big
thanks goes out to the following families for making the long journey up to
Bates Nut Farm to help out: Whipple, Clark, Duke, Trussell, and Sullivan.
appears that most of our members have completed their applications. Please
provide any missing paperwork to us so that we may get your member approved.
Here is the information again: Please don’t forget to enroll on-line. Go to
and get started. It’s a simple process that we are happy to help you with if
needed. Please don’t forget to get us a hardcopy of your Health History and
Youth Treatment forms. These forms are available to download during enrollment.
Enrollment fees are $45 per member.

already! If you have not yet heard from a project leader, please do not hesitate
to contact Kelli or Wendy (contact information below). Please do not forget that
in addition to giving your club leaders a copy of the above forms, you need to
provide EACH of your project leaders a Youth Treatment Authorization form with
an ORIGINAL signature on them.
Achievement Night is on November 12th, 2016 and we have a number of families
planning on attending that evening. Each club is expected to donate a basket for
the opportunity drawing that evening. We have decided to donate a Coffee and Tea
Basket. If you have appropriate items to donate to this basket (all new), please
bring them to our next unit meeting. You are also welcome to let us do the
shopping for you and donate funds. We recommend $5 a family if you are able.

We know that our 4-Hers are busy and successful outside of 4-H as well!
Please send us items that you would like to share with our group and we will
